Sophie and Scott got married on a family property in Matakana, with the reception down at Matakana Hall, and honestly, their bridal party might be the biggest I've ever worked with, over twenty people, because Sophie couldn't bear to pick favourites so she just asked everyone.

Right in the middle of dinner, I pulled Sophie and Scott away for a few minutes to catch the sunset, and they trusted me completely, no hesitation, straight out the door. Worth it too, because those ended up being some of my favourite shots of the whole day. Then later that night, Sophie got up on stage at Matakana Hall and sang alongside her dad, and the whole room absolutely lost it.
