Motherhood is a whole season, and I love photographing every part of it. Maternity sessions capture the weeks right before your baby arrives, there's a real strength and gentleness in this right before family life opens up and changes everything. We can shoot in studio or on location, whatever feels right for you, and you're welcome to borrow from my dress collection if you want something a little different for the day.
Then, once your baby's here, we let go of posing altogether. No unnatural positions, no props, just your baby exactly as they are, and the real connection between you. Your baby belongs in your arms, and that's where the most genuine photographs happen.
Together, these sessions become a record of a season that moves fast, the strength of carrying life, and the moment you finally get to hold it.
Ask me for my Maternity or Newborn Welcome Guide, both are full of everything you need: clothing advice, what to bring, the best timing, pricing, and FAQs.
Whether you're after a quick mini shoot or want to take your time and really soak in the experience, the session is shaped around you. I always keep an eye on how you're feeling and adjust as we go,
Delivered within 2 weeks, so you can view and choose your favourites.
Every image is carefully edited so it's ready to treasure.
Choose the collection that fits your family and budget after your shoot, no pressure on the day.

Your dog is part of the family too, so bring them along.
For maternity, we'll figure out together what feels most like you, maybe that's golden hour on the beach in a flowing dress, soft and dreamy, or something a little more editorial in jeans inside my studio at Pukepohatu Retreat, a private space where you can properly show off that growing bump.

For newborn sessions, there's genuinely nothing to prepare. If we're at your home, don't clean a thing, I'll find the light and build the space around you. Or come to me at Pukepohatu Retreat, where it's all already set up and ready to go.
Hair and makeup can be added to either session if you want that extra bit of pampering. And while I'm photographing your baby, feel free to just sit back, close your eyes, maybe even nap. This is meant to feel like a break, not one more thing on your list.
From the first dance to the last, I'm there for every unscripted moment: the quiet glances, the happy tears, losing it on the dance floor. If a wedding is on the horizon, let's talk about how we can tell your story together.
Your family keeps growing and changing, and I'd love to be there for it: newborn cuddles, muddy gumboots, the everyday moments that turn into memories. Family sessions are relaxed and unposed, capturing the real connection and chaos that make your family yours.
