Parua Whangarei Heads Northland

Kennedy and Joel's DIY backyard wedding at Parua Bay, Whangarei Heads, had locations they'd found themselves by walking the hills and chatting to local farmers, spots that turned out to be some of the most striking I've shot. When we first met, we hit it off straight away over a shared love of house buses and tiny homes, and it was clear from all the handmade details they'd put into the day that this one was going to be different.

The sky turned stormy at points, but it didn't stop the dancing once sunset rolled around, moody skies giving way to golden light. Kennedy skipped shoes altogether for a pair of hand beaded toe sandals, one of so many little details from their day that ended up inspiring my own wedding
