When I meet Steph and Rich for the first time they made it really clear to me that their wedding wasn’t going to be traditional. Steph proposed to Rich and they wanted a day that celebrated them as a couple rather than putting on a big flashy event. This really resonated with me and helped to connect me as their photographer in such a big way. Event Junkies and La lumiere created a magical wonderland at Matakana Estate which was so incredible to shoot. I’ll never forget Steph and Rich’s vows. They spoke in a way that was so raw and real. They promised not to love each other forever because how can you promise that kind of certainty . This made me think about how important it is to make your wedding about you, don’t follow the rules just do you !
